During the surprise attack, Oceania Cruises' Nautica and Holland America Line's Nieuw Statendam were docked in Haifa but departed shortly after. Royal Caribbean’s Odyssey of the Seas was rerouted to Turkey and Cyprus. Meanwhile, Rhapsody of the Seas canceled its sailing today and Oct 13 from Haifa. P&O Cruises Australia's ship, Pacific Explorer, successfully rescued a mariner who was in distress. Tom Robinson was aiming to be the youngest person to row across the Pacific Ocean but had his boat damaged and overturned by a rough wave near New Caledonia. The Norwegian Jewel has embarked on a 16-night repositioning Transpacific cruise from Seattle, having spent its summer in Alaska.
