NCL Makes Last Minute Change, Adds Pay to Play

Cruise news today. Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it will eliminate spa category staterooms and suites, including those in The Haven, effective for all sailings beginning January 1, 2024. Guests who booked a spa category stateroom before October 2, 2023, will retain their spa privileges. To offer additional thermal suite capacity to all guests, Norwegian Cruise Line will no longer offer free access to the thermal spa for spa category staterooms. Guests wishing to have thermal suite access will need to pay for it. Barbados welcomed a record number of cruise ship visitors during the 2022-2023 season, with over 625k passengers across 362 port calls. This represents an 86 percent recovery rate from the pre-pandemic season. Carnival Venezia made its inaugural call into Aruba this morning. Greeted by a water cannon salute by two tugs, the ship did a plague exchange ceremony with port officials. Venezia is on a 15-night Southern Caribbean cruise that left NYC last Friday.
